Solutions Canada.

Miltex Solutions Canada Inc. manufactures, repairs, overhauls and delivers high-performance military textiles to government agencies and private businesses worldwide, while also specializing in research and development. Primary products include personnel and cargo parachutes, customized drone parachutes, shelters, tactical gear, related mechanisms and devices. Established in 2014, Miltex is a Controlled Goods-registered company that operates under a proven quality plan. Located just a few kilometers from Canada’s largest military air base in Trenton, Ontario, the company is the nation’s largest military parachute manufacturer.

MATT GAGNON

CEO

Matt is a Chartered Professional Accountant with nearly two decades of manufacturing experience. He previously owned and operated two linear textile manufacturing businesses in Canada and the United States. Matt is also a business professor at Loyalist College.

Brad is a communications specialist and sales professional who has extensive experience in media and business. He’s also a journalist with 15 years experience working for national outlets, an avid world traveler and an immense sports addict.

ROSS PROPHET

Master Rigger

Following 36 years in the Canadian Armed Forces (and 27 as a military parachute rigger), Ross joined Miltex in 2021. He has been a registered master parachute rigger with the United States Federal Aviation Administration since 2004. As a highly reputed patron of the parachute industry, he takes great pride in not only performing but also passing on his skills in that discipline.

Subject Matter Expert

Miltex’s “mad scientist of parachutes” has more than 35 years in the industry. A veteran of the Canadian Armed Forces, Guy helped launch Miltex in 2014 and managed its operations during a period of exceptional growth and progress. He never stops tinkering, expanding and improving his unique products and projects.

SHAUNA LOVELESS

Vice President of Contracts & Procurement

An original member of the Miltex team, Shauna began her career in the industry as an Operations Assistant and later a Materials Manager before becoming the organization’s point person for all things related to purchasing, sales and contract management. She’s worn a multitude of hats during her two decades in the business, and her knowledge of industry-related products and materials is practically unrivaled.

Operations Manager

With over 30 years’ experience as a leader in the manufacturing field, Yvette came to Miltex in 2022 to further bolster the production operation. A professional engineer, she is certified in lean manufacturing, manufacturing optimization and ISO auditing.

JANET GALL

Production Supervisor

Janet has overseen the vast and critical sewing operation at Miltex since the company’s inception in 2014. She has over two decades’ experience in the field and is certified in lean manufacturing and supervision. She has extensive experience in drawing interpretation and prototype design, as well as a background in drapery and upholstery.

SARAH ALLMAN

Finance and Office Manager

A longtime finance professional inside and outside of military-related manufacturing, Sarah returned for a second stint with Miltex in 2022 and is now the organization's champion when it comes to finance, human relations and office management. She's Miltex's primary administrator and also plays a significant role in handling paperwork and analysis related to production as well as repair and overhaul. When not crunching those numbers, she’s been a figure skating coach for more than two decades.

JINHAO ZHANG

Mechanical Engineer

Jinhao joined Miltex after earning his bachelor’s degree in engineering physics at Queen's University in 2018. He also possesses a manufacturing engineering certificate from Loyalist College, has obtained a Professional Engineering License from Professional Engineers Ontario, is pursuing his master's degree in mechanical engineering from Queen's and is a certified Lean Six Sigma Green Belt. Born in China, Zhang is deeply interested in quantum mechanics, aerospace engineering, and military equipment and applications. He specializes in reverse engineering, prototype fabrication, parachute design, research and development and search & rescue equipment.

Operations and Engineering Support Specialist

An expert in materials, hardware, process flow, specs and research and development, Ben joined Miltex in 2017 and has played a wide variety of roles. He’s a versatile veteran of the military textile realm who excels at idea generation, problem solving and customer relations.
